The Louisianian reported there were three picnics in City Park. One of them was

The band was present on the "Sumner Boy´s School Picnic" given at the City Park.

The Louisianian was reporting the funeral for General Barber of the State
Militia. Kelly´s Brass Band played at the procession "playing slow music".
