Younger brother of George Baquet and son of Theogene V. Baquet.

He played with the Reliance Brass band and members of the Original Dixieland Jazz Band. He was also playing with a New Orleans Jazz Band in Coney Island, N.Y.16

Achille was a exceptionally light-skinned Negro, who succeeded in passing as white musician.14
