Name: Alcide Landry

As a brass band musician he played with: Holy Ghost, Lyons, Tulane, Tuxedo Brass Band

You don't hear so much talk about Mr. Landry but he was one hell of a trumpet player. He used to play in them joints with Milé Barnes and them, dance halls and bars and rooms like that. He was a helluva brass band man. You could hear him from Canal Street to St. Louis Street." (Harold Dejan)

He was the leader of the Eureka Brass band during the 30's and played in the WPA Brass Band during the mid-30's and played later in the Tulane Brass Band.16
