As a brass band musician he played with: George Williams, Kid Howard, Tuxedo Brass Band

He was a brother of Sam (the oldest), Isaiah (the second) and Al (the jongest) Morgan.

He began playing professional in 1924 in the Yung Superior Band with Leonard Bechet. In 1925 he joined the Young Morgan Band led by his brother Isaiah. The same group made, under brother Sam, some fames recordings in 1926. Through the 30's he was with Mike Delay, Kid Thomas Valentine, WPA brass band and ERA Orchestra.16
