As a brass band musician he played with:
Imperial Brass Band
He was born as Albany Leon Bigard and a younger brother of
Alec and Emile.
Taught by Luis and Lorenzo Tio jr.
He was with Oak Gaspard, 1921; Albert Nicholas, 1922. Joined King Oliver on tour
in 1925. After being in Chicago he settled in California. He was a member of
Louis Armstrong's All-Stars in the late 40's and 50's.16
September 15, 1926 he recorded with Jelly Roll Morton.14
