As a brass band musician he played with: George Williams, E Gibson, St. Johns Brass Band

In the early 20's he was a member of Johnny Brown's Band. he was not well known, until his comeback in the early 60's when he started playing at the Preservation Hall and with the E. Gibson Brass Band.16
