As a brass band musician he played with: Indiana, Reliance, Pacific, Pickwick, Toca Brass Band

He was active from 1895 to about 1912 as a brass band musician. He became a great music teacher in New Orleans for both trombone and drums.16

Achille was a exceptionally light-skinned Negro, who succeeded in passing as white musician.14
