* 1866
† 1925

As a brass band musician he played with: Excelsior, Onward Brass Band

Born as Dee Chandler.

Drummer Dee Dee Chandler of the John Robichaux Orchestra--covering for an absent second drummer--performed on two drums simultaneously. Chandler fashioned a makeshift pedal to play the bass drum with his foot while using sticks to play the snare drum. This must have been in the late 1880s or early 1890s.

He was with John Robicheaux before the Spanish-American War.16
