Began playing the trombone in parades in 1914. Was with Ernest Giardina Orchestra, 1914 and the Reliance Brass Band. Together with Nick La Rocca he founded the Original Dixieland Jazz Band, 1916. Edwards quit music about 1925 but played with the ODJB when it was revived in the 1930's.16
