As a brass band musician he played with:
Henry Allen,
Tuxedo,
Zulu band, Onward Brass Band.
According to Louis Armstrong, "Eddie Jackson used to really swing the tuba when
the band played marches." He also called him Big tall Eddie
Jackson.
Also Eddie played the bas violin in the Pelican Orchestra led
by Ed Clem.
He was a veteran of the advertising wagons and the "jitney" dance halls. Played
with the Onward Brass band in 1910-1912 and led his own band during the late
20's. Played with the Tuxedo Brass Band. During the late 30's with the Young
Tuxedo Brass Band. 16
