As a brass band musician he played with: George Williams, Happy Pals, Tuxedo Brass Band

He played with Oscar Papa Celestin from 1951 until Celestin's death in 1954, when he took over leadership of the band's remnants. He played for Sidney Desvigne on the riverboats in the early 30's and with a group included Louis Barbarin and Emanuel Sayles.16
