As a brass band musician he played with:
Johnny Fischer's,
Reliance Brass Band
His older brother was Charles and his younger one was Emile.
He started in New Orleans about 1908 with Jack Laine's
Reliance Brass Band and also worked with Johnny Fischer's Brass band.
He led a ragtime band from 1910 to 1918 in New Orleans. Then led a ragtime band
in Chicago and New York. Featured in early 1920's with Gilda Gray in vaudeville.16
