As a brass band musician he played with:
Lions Brass Band
He led his own Lions Brass Band in 1928, a group that stayed
together only for four month. In 1919 he was with Chris Kelly and played
frequently with Sam Morgan in the 20's. He played in early bands with Bunk
Johnson, Lawrence Duhé, Evan Thomas and in the Gus Fortinet's Banner Band about
1909.16
