As a brass band musician he played with: Kid Howard, Louis Dumaine's Brass Band

Played in dance groups during 20's, and marched sometimes with Louis Dumaine's brass band. He was in the ERA orchestra in 1935 and WPA brass band in 1936, both under direction of Louis Dumaine.
