As a brass band musician he played with: Onward Brass Band

Older brother of Wendell McNeil.

Charter member of the John Robichaux Orchestra in 1894 and also played with the Onward Brass Band with whom he was enlisted in the army for the Spanish-American War. He was a music teacher in New Orleans, before moving to Chicago in 1938.16
