As a brass band musician he played with: Masonic, Bunk Johnson, Eureka, Pickwick Masonic Brass Band

Son of Warren Aaron Clark, who played bariton horn in the Excelsior and Onward brass band.

Red played bariton horn and trombone and studied with his father and Dave Perkins. He joined the Tonic Triad band in 1928 and played with the Masonic Brass band in the 30's. He also played with the Eureka Brass band and was in those days the manager of the band.16
