As a brass band musician he played with: Excelsior, Tuxedo Brass Band

He was the brother of Luis and father of Lorenzo Tio jr.16

Played in the Excelsior Brass Band in 1880's. He organized dance band with Anthony Doublet, which was active until about 1892.16

Tio went to New Orleans in 1885 for the Cotton Exposition that year.
Lorenzo sr. left New Orleans around the turn of the century, because of the new racist mood.B1
