As a brass band musician he played with: Onward, Silver Leaf, Tuxedo Brass Band

He studied with Lorenzo Tio jr and Barney Bigard. Joined the Young Tuxedo Orchestra in 1927. In 1928 he worked with Golden Rule Orchestra, Bebé Ridgley, Sidney Desvigne and Chris kelly. Toured with Don Albert Orchestra from 1929-39. With A.J. Piron on riverboats and returned to Desvigne in 1942. He marched with the Young Tuxedo Brass band and played frequently with Paul Barbarin. He was president of local 496. AFM.16
