As a brass band musician he played with: Johnny Fischer's, Reliance Brass Band

Older brother of Leonce (about 1888) and Stanford (about 1901).

He made his parade debut with a five piece marching band, the Big Five. That included his brother Leonce, about 1903. He was a mainstay of Jack Laine's ragtime bands from about 1908 and always a member of the No. 1 unit of the Reliance Brass Band.16
