As a brass band musician he played with: Reliance Brass Band

Known as Tny Spargo.

He was the youngest member of the Original Dixieland Jazz Band. He joined them in June, 1926 replacing Johnny Stein. In New Orleans he already worked with the Brunies brothers at the Tango Palace.16
