Henry Allen,
Tuxedo Brass Band
He was the co-founder (together with
"Papa" Celestin) of the Original Tuxedo
Brass Band and the Tuxedo Orchestra. He started with the Silver Leaf Orchestra
about 1907. He retired music in 1936 because of ill health. Made his last public
appearance at the age of 79 as a mourner at the funeral of
Alphonse Picou, 1961.16
