1941© Music by Vincent Rose and Lyrics by Larry Stock & Al Lewis

Vincent Rose * Palermo, Italie Jun 13, 1880
Rockville Center, NY May 20 1944
Larry Stock     * New York City, NY 1896
                           May 14, 1984
Al Lewis         * New York City, NY Apr 18, 1901
New York City, NY Apr 4, 1967

Originally recorded by Gene Autry. Autry, a singing cowboy, performed this number in the 1941 film The Singing Hill. Glenn Miller recorded a version that same year, but the number is undoubtedly most associated with Fats Domino, whose 1956 version made it to the top of the R&B charts.

Lyrics:

I found my thrill, on Blueberry Hill
On Blueberry Hill, where I found you
The moon stood still, on Blueberry Hill
And lingered till, my dreams came true

The wind in the willow played
Love’s sweet melody
But all of those vows we made
Were never to be

Tho’ we’re apart, you’re part of me still
For you were my thrill, on Blueberry Hill
