George Southwell * ?? + ?
In the early days of brass bands, it was common to cut publishers' titles from
the scores, so that rival musicians or bands couldn't steal there succesful
tunes. They simply gaved the tunes numbers. In some books the march Fallen
Heroes is mentioned as Eureka Brass Band's no 31 or nicknamed as "the Blimp".
This Eureka tune 31 is not the Funeral March Fallen Heroes.
In the book "Brass Bands & New Orleans Jazz" by William J. Schafer
you'll find the score of Fallen Heroes.
